Following the Trail of Evil
“Demon Slayers Wanted”
(All of the below is subject to change. This is a really, REALLY rough draft.)
A note for all players (both of you, lol):
I’ve got no clue what I’m doing, really, but we all want to play some D&D and Robyn needs (deserves) a break to actually play the game instead of DMing the whole time.
Anyway, as I’ve said, this is going to be an Oriental Adventures campaign, using a sorta modified-however-I-see-fit version of 3.0, 3.5, and whatever else I want to throw in there. I’ll make adjustments as necessary to maintain game balance, and hopefully our campaign will be about intrigue and combat instead of “You can’t do that. This sheet of paper says so.” or something along those lines. I won’t go so far as to say “Anything goes”, but if you’ve got an idea you really want to try out, I’m open to whatever. But be realistic. You know, in our fantasy game.
Right. On with the adventure hook. Or whatever it’s called.
I haven’t developed too much storyline yet, but you’re basically being called upon by a town magistrate to investigate odd happenings on the fringes of his town – the occasional possession, strange sleepwalkers, etc. One thing will lead to another, and you’ll find yourselves against some srs bzns. There will be demons. There will be Taint (see the wiki for more info). There will be combat. There may be death. There may even be fun.
